Lexus to Develop Manufacture Transmission for Future Electric Vehicles

Recently Lexus has decided to create new technology that will make it so that new electric cars look like the classic four-cylinder or V8 engine that uses a gas approach. In other words, it will still be an electric vehicle, but it will look like the older gas models.

Lexus Tech

New Lexus vehicles will have the ability to have electric vehicles and manual transmissions at the same time. This is their plan for future electric vehicles. In particular, they call it simulated manual transmissions. The system uses a physical gear shift option through a tachometer and a third medal, but it will not be attached to a clutch. Instead, it uses simulated software.

The car is going to simulate all aspects of a manual transmission. Those who developed the idea missed some of the options with combustion cars, so they just simulated it with electric cars to get the experience for both types of cars through the electric option.

This new experimental EV option has three different deals, which include a stick shift as well as a rev counter simulator if you are so inclined. If you wish, it can also have a simulated sound for the combustion engine option as well. It plays this through a speaker that can make it sound like gear shifts to simulate this if you want.

This prototype allows you to have more options than you would have otherwise. It allows you to experience all sides of what the Lexus can do, including both the regular electric vehicle that is coming out now as well as allowing you to drive the vehicle in the old way. That way, you can have as many different options as possible, and you can drive your car in exactly the way that you want. It gives you a versatility that you might not have as much otherwise.
