What's New For the 2022 Lexus LX?
Several changes are in store for the Lexus LX in 2022. This year, the LX is redesigned with a refreshed exterior appearance, updates to its cabin, and changes to the mechanical system under its hood. The LX even rides on a new platform that improves its handling and makes it more comfortable for passengers. More space is added to the back row, which also has more creature comforts, including reclining seats, a footrest, and a separate infotainment system. Nearly 20 inches of screen space comes with the 2022 LX, and there are two additional trim levels available this year.
2022 LX Trims and Features
More options are available for the LX in 2022 than before, with the addition of two trim levels to the line. The LX is now produced in a sportier and more luxurious version. The sportier trim level is called the F Sport. The F Sport has a more athletic look with its own special emblems and paint colors. A red interior adds to its bold look. The F Sport uses an adaptive suspension system for superior handling and maximum comfort. Inside, it has an equally sporty and upscale cabin with a leather steering wheel, a leather gear-shift knob, and ergonomic seat designs. Another new trim in the lineup is the Ultra Luxury. Premium leather seats are standard, and the Ultra Luxury also has sunshades and plenty of storage space. Wireless charging and a USB port are other handy features. The Ultra Luxury is the first model in the LX series to offer four seats, which also creates more space in the back. Across the lineup, the LX now has the largest wheels available compared to previous models, which are a maximum of 22 inches. A large 12.3-inch touchscreen is now standard, along with a separate driver's information display. A Voice Assistant feature allows for hands-free use of the infotainment system.
2022 Lexus LX Horsepower
The new model year brings a new engine for the 2022 Lexus LX. The Lexus now uses a 3.5L V6 engine with a top power output of about 410 HP. The engine cranks out close to 480 LB-FT in torque. The LX also gets a new transmission this year, which is a 10-speed automatic with smooth gear shifting.
Lexus LX Safety
With the Lexus LX comes the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as a standard feature. This safety package includes bicycle and pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and pre-collision avoidance.
