Specs at a Glance

If you want a nimble, fuel-efficient, attractive, and well-equipped luxury SUV, the Lexus UX 200 is your answer. The Lexus UX 200 has traditionally earned a reputation as one of the safest vehicles in its class. This year, it builds on that reputation by adding even more standard safety aids at the base level, which also increases its appeal and value. The Lexus UX 200 is produced in the same trim levels as 2020. The base trim, which is just called the UX 200, has much to enjoy with a contemporary and generously outfitted cabin. At the top of the UX 200 range is the Luxury, which adds all the interior and exterior features of its lower-level siblings to provide more comfort and sophistication. Both trims are great choices depending on your interests.

Performance

The 2021 Lexus UX 200 and UX 200 Luxury share many of the same performance characteristics. The Lexus comes standard with front-wheel drive for both models. They also have the same gasoline-powered engine, a four-cylinder engine with a top power rating of just under 170 HP. The engine gets about 150 LB-FT for its maximum torque output. The two trim levels both have an automatic transmission, but the Luxury adds paddle shifters that allow you to control the gear shifting on demand for a more in-control and exciting ride.

Appearance

The Lexus UX 200 stands out for its dynamic exterior with sporty lines and a compact but elegant design. Chrome accents are included at the base level. The entry-level trim also benefits from bright LED headlights and tail lights with LED bulbs. Moving up to the Luxury brings larger 18-inch wheels. You will also get advanced LED lighting with the top trim. The Luxury adds more exterior safety features, too, including rain-sensing wipers. The Luxury also has a hands-free power liftgate as a standard item.

Features

Many creature comforts are included on both trim levels. With the base, trim comes a seven-inch touchscreen interface, while you'll get a 10.3-inch display at the top level. Both have smartphone integration, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. A Bose sound system is added to the Luxury, which also replaces the simulated leather upholstery on the base trim with leather seats. The Luxury gains some safety aids, too, including parking sensors and emergency automatic braking.
