Lexus is taking its pursuit of driver and vehicle connectivity to elevated heights with a newly added performance feature: Variable Load Coupling Rear Orientation (V-LCRO). This technology allows a driver to take turns much more aggressively while greatly reducing movement across the back and seat. The available option is only offered on Lexus RC F and Lexus GS F vehicles.
"While all performance cars use seat bolsters to hold a driver in place during aggressive maneuvering, we're taking it a step further. In this case, the technology we're employing is actually over 75 years old," said Brian Bolain, general manager, Lexus product & consumer marketing. "The RC F and GS F are exhilarating, racing-inspired vehicles. By partnering with Velcro Companies, our new V-LCRO technology enhances the driver's ability to maximize the cars' track-proven performance."
Geared more toward professional racing, the available V-LCRO driver's seat keeps you securely in place behind the wheel, refining the functionality of the vehicles' contoured seatbacks. However, in order to use this technology, users must wear a specially designed suit that features various hooks and loops, which help enhance grip at any angle and G-load. In fact, it's engineered to hold the driver in place at up to 3.0 Gs in any direction.
